Pokemon Crystal
Pokemon Crystal is the third game the Johto series. For the first time in any Pokemon Game, Crystal features animated sprites for Pokemon and the ability to play as a girl. This made many female Pokemon players happy!
Unlike Gold and Silver, Crystal lets you catch Ho-oh at level 70 and Lugia at level 60 instead of one at level 40 and the other at level 70. Another feature non existent to Gold/Silver is the Battle Tower located just west to Olivine City. The Tower is a great place to test you skill as a Pokemon trainer.
And the best part is that you can now battle and catch Suicune as part of the story line (no more chasing around Johto for Suicune), however Raikou and Entei still run wild.
