Diamond and Pearls Elite Four and Champion are a much more challenging group of trainers then the previous versions.

| Double Team | Mega Horn | Energy Ball | Defend Order | Cross Poison |
| Light Screen | Night Slash | Psychic | Heal Order | Ice Fang |
| Toxic | Stone Edge | Shadow Ball | Power Gem | X Scissor |
If you have Infernape, you should have little trouble. Dustox, Heracross, Vespiquen and Beautifly are all weak to Fire. Rock type attacks will do a good bit of damage too. Drapion may not be that easy to take out. It is weak to Ground, but that's all.
| Bertha: Ground Elite Trainer | ||||

| Double Team | Earthquake | Sandstorm | Zen Headbutt | Sandstorm |
| Protect | Crunch | Earthquake | Rockslide | Earthquake |
| Sandstorm | Curse | Hammer Arm | Fissure | Gyro Ball |
If you have any Grass type moves, this is the place to use them. All of Bertha's Pokemon are weak to Grass! Hippowdon may cause trouble, but just keep attacking and it will go down.
| Flint: Fire Elite Trainer | ||||

| Rapidash | Infernape | Steelix | Lopunny | Drifblim |

| Solarbeam | Thunderpunch | Sunny Day | Sunny Day | Baton Pass |
| Bounce | Mach Punch | Screech | Mirror Coat | Ominous Wind |
| Flare Blitz | Flare Blitz | Fire Fang | Fire Punch | Will-O-Wisp |
| Sunny Day | Earthquake | Rock Tomb | Charm | Double Team |
Water or Ground types moves are really useful here. Attack Steelix with Special based moves, not physical ones. Steelix has extremely high Defense but just average Sp. Defense.
| Lucian: Psychic Elite Trainer | ||||
| ||||
| Mr. Mime | Girafarig | Medicham | Alakazam | Bronzong |

| Level: 59 | Level: 59 | Level: 60 | Level: 60 | Level: 63 |
| Thunderbolt | Crunch | Ice Punch | Focus Blast | Calm Mind |
| Psychic | Double Hit | Fire Punch | Energy Ball | Gyro Ball |
| Light Screen | Psychic | Thunderpunch | Psychic | Psychic |
| Reflect | Shadow Ball | Drain Punch | Recover | Earthquake |
A Dark-type attack like Crunch can take out all of Lucian's Pokemon (except Bronzong) in 1, or maybe 2 hits. Fire will eventually take out Bronzong.

| Dark Pulse | Brick Break | Muddy Water | Ice Beam | Shadow Ball | Dragon Pulse |
| Silver Wind | Giga Impact | Sludge Bomb | Mirror Coat | Extrasensory | Psychic |
| Psychic | Dragon Rush | Stone Edge | Aqua Ring | Sludge Bomb | Aura Sphere |
This battle is much harder that the previous ones. Spiritomb is somewhat difficult to KO; it has no weakness. Garchomp is deadly, unless you have Ice or Dragon moves. Gastrodon has a huge weakness to Grass. Don't attack Milotic with Special Attack moves, or it will probably Mirror Coat it back to you. Roserade isn't hard to KO, a good Psychic, Fire, Ice, or Flying move will finish it. Lucario falls to Fire, Ground, and Fighting.
